Description: Request for construction trailer to be located on site adjacent to the asphalt road - spectrum avenue (on-site). - trailers must be installed and maintained, including approved access to same, in accordance with all applicable city codes, including attached plan review sheet entitled "sales/ construction trailer permit". trailers located on unpaved areas not protected from wind by existing buildings shall be properly anchored to the ground (at least 1 anchor each corner). if landings, ramp, or stairs are to be built, then entrance landings shall be as close as possible in elevation height to the floor inside the trailers. install code conforming handrails on at least one side of all stairs. handrails shall have proper extensions (12 inches past bottom riser and 12 inches past top riser, parallel to landing. handrail ends shall return to the porch structure or to itself, leaving no open ended rails. handrails width shall be between 1 1/4" and 2", and shall be continuously graspable the entire length of the railing. if deck landing is 30 inches or more above grade, then guardrails are required to be at least 42 inch above walking surface, maximum 4 inch spacing at any openings, and constructed so as not to provide a ladder effect (e.g. vertical pickets or solid wall). riser heights of stairs shall not exceed 7", and all risers in each set of stairs shall be equal in height. - all trailers require city electrical inspection, to check service connection, and city final building/occupancy inspection, and must be approved by the city inspectors before any use and/or occupancy by the permittee occurs. said inspections can be scheduled with the city inspectors using #301-258-6338.
